Each year the Alliance coordinates more than 200 programs serving 45 North Country communities, from Plymouth to Pittsburg, Piermont to Conway, and involves more than 6,000 children. Each program includes opportunities for public performances; school assemblies; student, teacher, family, and after-school workshops; and artist residencies. Programs include:
  • Classroom & community concerts
  • Multicultural programming
  • Mountain links / traditional arts
  • Write Now! reading and writing programs
  • Enhancing science learning through the arts

In addition to our programs, the Alliance provides services to the community through its partners, local schools, artists and nonprofits.

  • like-group meetings (e.g., presenters; professional, community, and high-school theater groups)
  • professional development workshops for nonprofits

  • community BYOPs (bring your own potluck, poetry, painting, performance)
  • blockbooking, joint marketing, inclusion in grants to government & foundations
  • technical assistance (e.g., developing local arts councils, local planning for programs)
  • mentor & community service opportunities
